The expansion to house a new therapy gym is part of a multi-million-dollar renovation and specialty pro- gramming initiative at the Point Pleasant skilled nursing facility. Special guests included Point Pleasant BoroughMayor P

Leadership of the Point Pleasant Police and Fire Departments, Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and local religious organizations also joined in the event, which included virtual tours and re- freshments. “Crest Pointe’s renovation is bringing it to the next level, making it one of the best along the Jersey Shore,” Mayor Sabosik said at the ground- breaking. “Crest Pointe has a reputation for quality patient care and staff retention, and is exactly the type of company we want investing in our com- munity and taking care of our elderly.” Crest Pointe is working with Marquis Health Services, a leading nursing home consult- ing firm, on the design and implementation of the reno- vation project. Crest Pointe’s new therapy gym will feature state-of-the-art equipment, including a smart car to help patients simulate actual daily living skills during the reha- bilitation process. The facility’s renovation already has intro- duced a redesigned dining area and updated resident rooms. “We thank our many com- munity leaders for joining in this special event,” said Crest Pointe’s Loretta Shopene , director of community rela- tions. “At Crest Pointe, we remain focused on creating a center for skilled nursing and healthcare excellence, and are thrilled to take this next step in expanding our facility with a new rehab gym.” Crest Pointe and Marquis also regularly partner with leading medical providers and area hospitals to develop new specialty programming that meets the healthcare needs of the regional community. Recently, this has included the introductions of new Car- diac Care and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Management offerings, with others in de- velopment. Located at 1515 Hulse Rd., Crest Pointe provides post- hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care. The facility offers patients a scenic place to rehab and re- cover, as many patient rooms boast views of the Point Pleas- ant Canal. MAREJ
