MODULAR MOVEMENT EDITION | BAM SOUTH

The challenge with small homes isn’t just fitting everything in. It’s making it feel right once you’re inside. As Jacob explains: “If you’re going to live in a small space, it doesn’t mean you have to live claustrophobic. We’re really intentional about allowing a natural life—about the views. Some of our homes are strategic so that any direction you look, you can see outside. As soon as you step into the home, you already see outside—there’s a window or a door right on the other side to make the space feel much larger.” That thinking carries through every layout. JT Collective designs around natural light and sightlines from the beginning, allowing the space to open outward and feel connected beyond its footprint. The rest comes down to problem- solving. “Spaces are often multi-purpose. Staircases double as storage, your kitchen countertop is also your dining area… it’s the ingenuity that goes into trying to craft those spaces.”

Each project introduces something new.

“Each home has always had something new. A new kind of flooring, heated floors, new siding, something that gives it a unique aesthetic.”
