She learned about PCA and the cor- rugated industry through an online college job board targeted to mem- bers of a business entrepreneurial club. After interviewing with PCA, she learned about their GIFT (Gen- erational Investment For Tomorrow) program and the opportunities in the

corrugated industry, especially as it relates to technology. Before moving directly into her sales role at PCA, she was in GIFT program, rotating through different depart- ments including design, customer service and production to develop a more well-rounded view of the company’s capabilities as well as the corrugated industry. During this
time, her Young Professional membership gave her access to TAPPI’s extensive technical resources and the opportu- nity to gain project management experience by oversee- ing YP activities from start to finish. Coming Together As Leaders While YP members represent competing companies, the program allows them to meet as individuals focused on personal development and becoming better leaders. “That’s the beauty in all of this, coming together to cre- ate those spaces where you’re able to build on your skill- sets and grow as an individual, which is the driving force behind programs and events we develop,” Sharesky said. Frisch said the EL program is a great introduction to AICC where they meet face-to-face with hundreds of its members and dozens in the EL program who each care about the other’s success. “It’s really just open engage- ment all the time,” Frisch said.
