public library is Nov. 29 but sta" decided to hold the open house event a week early to take advantage of the professional deve- lopment day break many schools had for students today. Besides visits frommovie and comic book heroes, children and their parents also got to meet with local authors, including Rockland’s own Père Noël, and enjoy other activities during the day-long open house celebration.

Anna, one of the stars of the movie, Frozen, visited her young fans at the Clarence-Rockland Public Library as part of the o#cial 75th anniversary open houseparty for thevenerablecommunity centre. Frozen face-painting designs, or arm“tatoos”, proved popular for the day. Local authors such as Colette St-Denis were also on hand to meet with readers. The library’s year-long anniversary celebration draws to a close next month but residents are invited to drop by and check out all the new features and services available, including book clubs and a growing collection of e-books for reading on tablets and computers.
