Greetings! We are thrilled to announce our Annual Heart of the Valley Gala is happening on October 5, 2024! This year we are delighted to be honoring Carol Rebscher, longtime valley resident, former board member, and Community Center volunteer for more than 25 years. Carol is a dedicated Senior Congregate Lunch volunteer, and this year our gala fund-a-need will be dedicated to supporting our senior programs. The Gala is our most important fundraising event of the year and kicks off our Annual Campaign where we raise the majority of our yearly budget, and you can support the Community Center by becoming an event Sponsor! All sponsorship levels offer tickets, donor benefits, and of course contribute to our mission and vision of fostering a healthy community! This year the gala will take place at the Community Center in our newly renovated Courtyard and Events Space featuring our brand new stage! Starting at 5 pm in the Maurice Del Mue Galleries, guests will enjoy appetizers including delicious Hog Island Oysters. Guests can bid on great prizes including art, unique experiences, and more! At 6:00 pm we will stroll out to the newly renovated Community Center Courtyard to enjoy a delicious meal served from multiple buffet stations, along with local beer and fine wine. Dinner will be followed by a presentation of our honoree, our Fund-A-Need dedicated to raising funds for our older adult programs, and as always, we will finish the night dancing along to special surprise entertainment. Your support goes to support our mission of fostering healthy communities within the San Geronimo Valley and Nicasio by providing an inclusive, diverse, and dynamic center for locally based human services, arts and culture, education, health and wellness, and community building.
