YOUNG PEOPLE continued earth as far as the preaching of the gospel is concerned. This we consider today. STUDY QUESTIONS 1. What is the assurance of the Chris tian according to Ps. 22:27,28? 2. When will this prophecy be fulfilled? (Matt. 24:27-31.) Note that the prophecy of Matt, is fulfilled after the great Trib ulation period (v. 29). The Tribulation period is that period of seven years fol lowing the translation of the saints to Heaven (1 Thes. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:51, 52). It is described in the hook of the Revelation from chapter 6 to the end. 3. Multitudes will turn to Christ when He returns to earth and will enter with Him into the Millennial Kingdom. This is the Kingdom spoken of by David in Psalm 22:27,28, and by the other great Old Testament prophets. 4. What is the situation among the nations today with regard to Christ? (Ps. 2.) What will be the situation when the Saviour returns? (Rev. 13.) 5. Read together Isa. 52:7-10. What is the situation at the time this prophecy is fulfilled? (cp. v. 7,— “ Thy God reign- ethl” ) Certainly the Lord Jesus is not now ruling and reigning on earth. But, blessed be His name, He is going to do so when He comes again. 6. What is the meaning of the state ment, “when the Lord shall bring again Zion” (v. 8)? Does this not refer to the regathering of the Jews from all nations of the world? And does this not mean that the coming of Christ is near since He is even now gathering the Jews back to Zion, or Palestine? (cp. Deut. 28:63-67; 30:1-10; Ezek. 34:11-16.) 7. Let us not overlook the text assigned from John—John 13:34. What is the com mand of this text? What is the meaning of the words of our Lord, “ as I have loved you” ? What is the effect of such love on the world? (v. 35.) W e should love not only our fellow believers, but every soul for Jesus’ sake. Do you? July 17, 1955
