STREAMING AND WE’RE NOT TALKING ABOUT FISHING

However, you are actually fishing for something entertaining. With museums, Broadway, movie theatres and sporting events cancelled or closed its either read a book or stare at your tv/computer screen.

“The Mandalorian” on Disney Plus with Baby Yoda is just pure entertainment. It is interesting how The Child a mechanical puppet outplays all the other actors in whatever scene it is in. The good news is that principal photography was finished before COVID-19 and post production is proceeding with an October 2020 confirmed season 2 release date. Picard on CBS+ is the continuation of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” I think they did a real great job on many levels and have enjoyed the series. Season 2 will appear sometime before the 23rd century.

What we all need is content and content is challenging to find.

You probably have your 100+ channels of Spectrum. I actually watch Frontline, Diners, Drive Ins and Dives — Guy Fieri should be the size of the Hindenburg by now — Discovery and Turner Classic movies. I have been looking at some Bogey and Sidney Greenstreet movies. I tried baseball but with the cutout figures in the stands and the phony crowd noises its unwatchable. Then there is NetFlix, Disney+, HBO Max, Apple TV, Tubi, Vudu, Google Play, You Tube, Hulu and CBS+. Of course, no one has all these services so your choice is limited to begin with. I go online to DVD release dates.com which lists by week all the new movies that are coming out. Then choose a title if I can find one and do a Google search of where it is streaming.

The new Tom Hanks movie “Greyhound” on Apple Plus is very good but would have been better on a theatre Imax screen.

Movie production is now a go but no one has actually started to shoot. Seen any movie crews in Manhattan — exactly. When they finally go into production will all the extras have masks on? How are they going to have any romantic scenes?

The winners for me are:

So for the time being we’ll all be watching repeats.
