Both bills were placed on a committee agenda however never had a hearing. The legislation would have required specific disclosures and disclaimers to be prominently displayed on any solicitation publication, broadcast or printed material for non-medical professional services related to a drug or medical device. Violations would have been deemed unfair and deceptive practices. It would have required an individual’s written authorization for a person soliciting professional services to use, cause to be used, obtain, sell, transfer, or disclose to another person that individual’s protected health information. Fraudulent Proof of Vaccination - FAILED (AARP SUPPORTED) Senate Bill 284, by Senator Polsky (companion House Bill 47, by Representative Grieco). Both bills were placed on a committee agenda however never had a hearing. The legislation would have prohibited a person with an intent to defraud from counterfeiting, forging, altering, cloning, or possessing a certificate, card, or other physical or electronic medium that falsely indicates that the holder has been vaccinated against a specific disease.
