The 130 th Annual Session of the Council of Deliberation was held on November 18th at the Hartog Activity Center at Ashlar Village located in Wallingford, C ONNECTICUT Sovereign Grand Inspector General Ronald A. Thomas, 33°

Consistory #80 elevated a total of 6 new Sublime Princes of the Royal Secret, 4 of which were elevated at a joint initiation through the invitation of SGIG Daniel Brightwell 33°, Deputy for the Orient of Massachusetts. The other 2 were initiated along with 6 other Sublime Princes by New Haven Consistory #7. Both Consistories are continuing to work toward improving the service they provide for the community. The CCOD Council Officers Nomination Committee Report was presented. The Council of Deliberation elected and appointed officers were called west of the altar and installed for the ensuing year.

Connecticut. We were pleased to have in attendance Most Worshipful Grand Master Alfred B. Grady Jr., 33°, Sovereign Grand Inspectors General Raynard W. Huges, 33° Cathedral Secretary representing Sovereign Grand Commander Melvin J. Bazemore, 33°. We were also honored to welcome Illustrious Kevin J. Hecht, 33° Deputy for the Orient Connecticut, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction and Illustrious Bruce T. Work, 33°, Active of the Supreme Council Northern Masonic Jurisdiction. The morning began with the Commanders of the Rite breakfast meeting. The CCOTR under President GIG Alex Miller continues to promote the Focus Areas identified by the Sovereign Grand Commander Melvin J. Bazemore by striving to make a positive difference in the communities and reclaiming of members. The Ritualistic Opening was performed by New Haven Consistory #7 under the leadership of GIG Keith Pullen, 33°, Commander-In-Chief. He received Most Illustrious Commander-In-Chief Ronald A. Thomas, Sr, 33°. The Sovereign Grand Inspectors General and the Grand Inspectors General were received and given honors. After the roll call of officers and Consistories; Under the direction of GIG Archie Butler, III Grand Master of Ceremonies (acting), MICIC Thomas requested under the Arch of Steel and Candle Bearers that SGIG Raynard Hughes 33° be escorted into the Chambers. He was given his proper honors. Reception of invited dignitaries including SGIG Kevin J. Hecht 33°, Deputy (NMJ), SGIG Bruce Work 33° (Active NMJ), were received under the Arch of Steel with proper honors. MICIC Thomas received the Honorable Alfred B. Grady, Jr.°, Grand Master of the MWPHGL of Connecticut along with his Cabinet of Officers and appropriate honors given. Reports were made from the various bodies in the Valley of Hartford and New Haven. Hartford

The Silver Eagle Committee again under the leadership of SGIGs James H. Gatling, 33° and Floyd E. Bagwell, 33° spearheaded a very successful event and reported that this was the most successful program in the event’s history. The 11 th Annual Silver Eagle Dinner honored the following outstanding recipients for their roles and service in their respective communities: Henry Fernandez, Executive Director of LEAP Inc., Dawn Bracey, President of Sisters Journey, Kyle Anderson, Former Councilman, Hartford CT; Co- Owner Subway Franchise, Hartford CT and Jeffrey Hunter, Board of Alderman, City of Waterbury. We were also honored with the presence of United States Senator Richard Blumenthal who was presented with the distinguished Silver Eagle Award for his years of service and dedication. A
