Both Assemblies continue with their community work. Now PLLR Ngina McMillian reported on the Assembly’s participation in volunteer work and donations to local food pantries, food delivery to the elderly and less fortunate families, donations to the Woman and Children shelter in Middletown, donations to St. Jude, Diane’s Helping Hands, providing a gift card for Thanksgiving to a local family and volunteer time to a local fire department to provide services to the community.

The Most Illustrious Commander-In-Chief Thomas Allocution was received and accepted by the CCOD. In his Allocution MICIC Thomas emphasized the importance of Connecticut continuing its efforts following the direction of Sovereign Grand Commander Melvin J. Bazemore in “Action, Accountability and Sustainability”. We will continue to embrace and improve on his Strategic Plan initiatives. He thanked the Commander-In-Chiefs for their efforts in making these goals a reality and solicited the entire membership to help to generate a process that would facilitate and enhance a higher level of interest and participation by all the members inclusively and an active engagement of Reclamation, and the Retention of Members. MICIC Thomas presented a Plan that specified duties of the CIC, GIG and SGIG to enhance the advancement of the Strategic Plan, Cradle to College, Recruitment, Retention & Reclamation Committees and Social Justice and Civil Action and Projects and Fund-Raising Committees.

Charity ticket booth event. They have volunteered and donated book bags to Edgewood back to school, Christmas bags to Lincoln Basket Pre-K Classes and goodie bags, bake goods and drinks to Goffe Street Firehouse in New Haven.
