Ionic Consistory #70 in Milwaukee participated in donating men suits to the homeless and less fortunate and on December 23, 2023, was one the sponsors of a Holiday Toy Give Away. At least 100 plus families received food and toys. Amidst the lingering impact of COVID in the Milwaukee area, many individuals find themselves facing uncertain times with job loss or reduced hours. It's our unwavering commitment to lend a helping hand wherever possible. With an abundance of toys and food boxes, we stood ready to serve over 1,000 families and single adults in need. This annual event serves as a beacon of hope for those navigating hardship during the holidays. With the invaluable support of over 50 enthusiastic volunteers, we embarked on a mission to make a difference. Consistory #84 sponsored 2 successful blood drives collecting enough blood to care for over 600 Sickle Cell patients in pain crisis. This gallant effort by the Consistory who partnered with the Urban League- Guild received First place in ”community service” for the second straight year. Madison/ Beloit #84 also partnered with the University of Wisconsin Medical School to help the community with issues associated with Alzheimer’s. Sovereign Grand Inspector General Walter Ward and Sovereign Grand Inspector General Jimmie Foster continue to volunteer at the local hospital in Beloit.
