Additionally, the Deputy for the Orient of Iowa was successful and diligent in reactivating one of the two Order of the Golden Circle Assemblies in the Orient of Iowa – Edna K. Bell Assembly #77, Valley of Waterloo, Orient of Iowa while increasing the Orient’s membership and participation in both Consistories, Assembly, and the Iowa Council of Deliberation.

As the Orient of Iowa continued commitment to the United Supreme Council, several Fraters are participating on the USC Committees: SGIG Osumana V. Cassell, 33°, Deputy for Iowa – Member, Order of the Golden Circle Committee; SGIG Patrick L. Peacock, 33°, Assistant to the Deputy for Iowa - Member, Veterans and Social Justice and Community Engagement (SJCE) Committees; GIG Eddie N. Sauls III, 33° – Member, USC Making A Difference Reporting (M.A.D.R.), Reclamation Program Committee. At the 142nd Annual Session of the United Supreme Council held in Denver, Colorado, the Orient of Iowa had notable accomplishments – the Elevation of SP Ike Rayford, 32°, PGM of the MWPHGL of Iowa to GIG 33°, Reclassification of GIG Patrick L. Peacock, 33°, to SGIG; SGIG Osumana V. Cassell, 33°, Deputy for the Orient of Iowa, was awarded ‘The Gold Medal of Achievement Award’ presented in recognition of his outstanding contributions and service; The Gold Medal of Achievement Award is the Highest Honor presented by the United Supreme Council.

Bell Assembly #77, Valley of Waterloo INITIATION The Deputy for the Orient of Iowa and the Assistant to the Deputy attended the Deputies, Overseers, and Assistants 2024 Midyear Conference in Springfield, MA; they also attended the Indiana 110th Council of Deliberation and State Grand Assembly, Order of the Golden Circle, PHA, NJ Annual Banquet; and the Deputy attended the MWPHGL of Minnesota 129th Annual Session, and Prince Hall Grand Chapter, OES 98th Joint Banquet.
