The Orient of Delaware held the 133rd Council of Deliberation and was honored to have the Sovereign Grand Commander, Dr. Melvin J. Bazemore, 33 o in D ELAWARE Sovereign Grand Inspector General James A. Scott, 33°

attendance. The 133rd Council of Deliberation was a historic event because it was the first time that Sovereign Grand Commander Bazemore has attend the Orient in his capacity as Sovereign Grand Commander (SGC). The Council was well attended as the Most Illustrious Commander-In-Chief received the Secretary General of the Holy Empire, Edward Brooks, 33 o , the Deputy from the Orient of New Jersey and Fraters from the Orients of Maryland and Pennsylvania. During the Council, Most Illustrious Commander-In-Chief SGIG James A. Scott, 33 o praised the members for managing United Supreme Council programs within the Orient. SGIG James R. Fitzgerald, Jr manages the Recruit, Retain, Reclaim Program , and SGIG George B. Winston III manages the Make a Difference (MAD) charity program. The State Grand Assembly held its session as well. State Grand Loyal Lady Ruler Bernadette P. Winston received Order of the Golden Circle Loyal Lady guests from the Orient of Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Sovereign Grand Commander Bazemore visited their meeting along with the Most Illustrious Commander in Chief, and the Most Worshipful Grand Master Ronald Q. Vann Jr, 33 o . During the activities of the Council of Deliberation, the Council held its 2nd Annual Recognition and Scholarship Luncheon. Each Orient organization presented Scholarship awards. Seven Students received over $7,000. SGC Bazemore also presented two Education Grants from the United Supreme Council Benevolent Foundation. C.P. Houston Consistory No. 119, Dover DE. was chosen as the Consistory of the Year and the Assembly of the year was Delaware Assembly No. 43, Wilmington DE. The Deputy for the Orient awarded GIG Jeffery Chandler, 33 o and GIG Kenneth Robinson, 33 o the Deputy Award for outstanding support to the Orient.

The Orient was elated to have Sovereign Grand Commander, Dr. Melvin Bazemore as the Keynote Speaker. He delivered a dynamic speech highlighting the importance of education, the right to choose your path in political support and recent accomplishments of the United Supreme Council.
