male and female homeless Veterans. The location for Home of the Braves is in Milford, Delaware. Delaware Assembly #43 in collaboration with Assemblies #81 and #96, donated food and drinks for a barbeque, for veterans that reside at the Home of the Brave Shelter. Six (6) members of Delaware Assembly travelled to Milford, Delaware, donated foods, helped cook, and served the Veterans. They also socialized with the Veterans at the barbeque and received a tour of their facility.

at the October 2023, Orient of Delaware Council of Deliberation’s 133rd Annual Session. Delaware Assembly received its guests with a continental breakfast upon arrival. Theirhard work throughout the year did not go unnoticed. They were named by Deputy SGIG James A. Scott, Assembly of the Year for 2023. Delaware’s Assemblies showed up and showed out in honor of our special guest, Dr. Melvin J. Bazemore. Members of Delaware Assembly not only worked hard but they also travelled to nearby Assemblies’ social events. They travelled to Willard W. Allen Assembly #386, Aberdeen, MD to their “Welcoming New Doves and Crowning Presentation”. This proved to be a beautiful and fun event.

In October 2023, members also travelled to Queen Esther Assembly #1’s Gospel Dinner Celebration in Baltimore, MD. A great time was

The items collected were 1,074 feminine sanitary napkins; 202 cosmetic cases to carry personal items; 75 pairs of lady’s underwear. These products are a much needed item in our schools as well as around the world for young school-aged ladies.

Past Loyal Lady Ruler Angelia L. McNair thought it very appropriate to present deserving members of Delaware Assembly #43 with certificates and gifts as a token of appreciation for their participation in the success of the year’s administration. Much charity and community service work was accomplished through teamwork, kindness, and commitment to helping others that are less fortunate. The officers and members of Delaware Assembly congratulate the incoming Loyal Lady Ruler, LL Loretta Legette, Loyal Lady Associate Ruler, LL Angela Garland and the outgoing Past Loyal Lady Ruler, LL Angelia L. McNair.

In September 2023, Delaware Assembly hosted its 1st Annual Jazz Brunch. LL Inger Collies was the Project Chairperson. She put together an awesome Sunday Jazz Brunch with live music, and good food. The location was Antonio’s Ballroom & Lounge in Wilmington, DE. A great time was had by all. This was the first time for this type of fundraiser by #43 and they have decided to hold the event annually. Next year is in planning.
