2023, Loyal Lady Associate Ruler Diane P. Jofferion, volunteered along with Loyal Lady Berkeley Dixon and Loyal Lady Dianna Alexander weighing and repacking bread at the Cleveland Food Bank to be disturbed to families in need. At noon, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the DoubleTree by the Hilton in Westlake, the members of Bezaleel Assembly No. 19, led by LL Jofferion, opened the 52nd Ohio Grand Assembly. Later that night the Assembly also hosted the banquet for PSGLLR Janice M. Bostic. During the session the Queen’s Contest was won by LL Delores “Dee Dee” Howell (19) with more than $2,600 collected. We were honored when the Deputy, SGIG Williams 33° and his entourage of Sovereign Grand Inspectors General of Ohio accompanied by MWGM Robert M. Estelle and Lieutenant Grand Commander, SGIG Sidney D. Broadnax Jr. 33° (representing Sovereign Grand Commander Dr. Melvin J. Bazemore 33°), made a special visit to the Grand Assembly. Thursday, November 9, 2023, eight Loyal Ladies; Commander-in-Chief GIG Haynesworth 33°; GIG Alvin Taylor 33°; and SP Donald Dixon 32° served lunch at the Annual Alzheimer's Association - Caregiver Luncheon at Camp George Forbes. We received a lot of information on caring for our loved ones. On Saturday, November 11, 2023, LL Jofferion attended the “THANK YOU LUNCH” sponsored by Community Service Committee Chairperson LL Berkeley Dixon and her family. This lunch thanked Bezaleel Assembly No. 19 for supporting the committee all year through 31 community service events. LL Dixon said it could have been done without the Loyal Ladies of Bezaleel Assembly No. 19. Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 8 – 12 noon, Bezaleel Assembly No. 19 and Bezaleel Consistory No. 15 packed 65 food boxes for Children & Family Services and Providence House for Thanksgiving. This is a project that LL Jofferion has been doing for more than 48 years and takes on special meaning since her mother passed away in 2001. On Friday, November 17, 2023, members volunteered at St. Martin De Porres High School manning the orange packing and distribution line. Smiles were put on many faces as they received

industry veteran. Congratulations on such a remarkable achievement! On Sunday, November 19, 2023, SGIG Lawrence E. Coleman 33° (20) delivered his Initial Sermon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cincinnati.

Bezaleel Consistory No. 15 held a Reunion on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. CIC Haynesworth and his officers Advanced 7 Brothers into the mysteries of the Scottish Rite.

Congratulations are in order for S.P. George A. Frederick II 32° (15)! Frater Frederick was recently appointed as the Warden for the Marion Correctional Institution. After almost 30 years of progressively

responsible service at every level of the correctional system in various institutions in the state of Ohio, to include 4 years of honorable Active Duty service in the U.S. Navy and 7 additional years in the Reserves, he was appropriate recognized in his chosen profession. The Orient of Ohio held its first lecture series on Sunday, January 28. This lecture series is the brainchild of Illustrious Minister of State and Grand Orator GIG Eugene W. Greenfield 33° (21). Illustrious Greenfield facilitated the first session — “The History of Prince Hall Scottish Rite Masonry”. The second in the monthly Orient of Ohio lecture series —“The Lodge of Perfection and Symbolism of the 4th Degree”— was held on Sunday, February 25. Illustrious Greenfield (21) and PCIC Irving L. Straun Jr. 33° (20) facilitated.
