The Rockland Nationals clinched the first round of the CCHL playoffs on Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over the Wolves. Playoff fever is back in Rockland, with the Nats making the league’s postseason for the first time in four years and after an impressive and dominant 8-1 rout of the Renfrew Wolves on home ice, giving them the chance to win the series in Renfrew on Tuesday, April 2. Kyle Leonard led the way offensively for Rockland, contributing a hat trick to the team’s win. Jaden Davis, Aidan Dres, Owen Brady, Samuel Dumont and Noah Vom Scheidt also scored for the Nationals, who now hold a 3-2 series lead. It was a big bounce-back game for the team, following a 5-1 loss in Renfrew a few nights earlier giving the Wolves an oppor- tunity to crawl back and even the series at two games apiece. The puck dropped for game six at 7 p.m. at the Me-Te-Way Activity Centre in Renfrew. Kyle Leonard scored two for Rockland, one in the first period and another in the second.

A total fire ban, or a Level 5 ban, prohibits all outdoor fires including wood burning barbeques, camp fires, burn barrels, fire pits, outdoor fireplaces and any other type of open air fire.
