J. Faculty Performance 1. Faculty members are to be in full agreement and follow the standards and procedures delineated in the faculty handbook. 2. Faculty members, along with all staff members, will read and sign the doctrinal statement and standard of conduct when onboarding, and regularly review both annually thereafter. 3. Faculty members are to display an interest in professional growth by responding to observations made in the annual performance appraisal and student surveys. 4. Faculty members are expected to be guided by the Mission Statement of Word of Life Bible Institute in their ministry to students.
K. Faculty Dismissal
1. Grounds for dismissal a. Failure to complete the appointed duties at the Bible Institute in a competent manner. b. Failure to follow the policies and regulations outlined in the Statement of Faith and Standard of Conduct. 2. Process for evaluating a request for dismissal a. A written charge will be filed with the Executive Committee detailing the basis of dismissal. b. A copy of the written charge will be sent to the member in question requesting an explanation or response. c. After receiving the answer and reviewing the charge again, the Executive Committee will decide if there is probable cause for dismissal. d. If the faculty member feels that the Executive Committee has a conflict of interest in deciding the matter, the following procedure will be followed: • If less than 50% of the Executive Committee is felt to have a conflict of interest, those parties will step aside in the final vote. • If more than 50% of the Executive Committee is felt to have a conflict of interest, the matter will be determined by the governing board of the institution. e. All meetings and determinations shall be preserved in writing. f. Findings of fact and recommendation shall be submitted to the Chancellor for review and a final decision. g. The governing board may review the decision of the Chancellor and make a final decision if requested by either the Chancellor or the person accused.
