They agree to arrive in time to begin their lecture series and to complete 10 hours of lecture in the schedule before leaving on Friday. d. They agree to eat meals with interested students and to make time available for consultation outside of the classroom. They are invited to address various staff groups but are free to decline based on personal time constraints. B. Scheduling Adjunct Faculty The President coordinates this process with the Academic Dean and the Associate Academic Deans at the teaching sites and branch campuses. Once an adjunct faculty member is scheduled, they will receive a letter of confirmation along with additional information. Word of Life Bible Institute has traditionally relied on Adjunct Faculty for three reasons: 1. to place recognized experts in the particular subject matter before the students, 2. to place men from a crosssection of ministry backgrounds (seminary professors, college professors, pastors, missionaries, evangelists, etc.) before the students, and 3. to place men who can recommend further courses of studies at other institutions of higher learning before the students. Adjunct Faculty members are scheduled year by year. They are selected based on a prior knowledge of their commitment to the doctrinal position of Word of Life Bible Institute, sympathy with the Standards of Conduct for the Institute, and appreciation for the ministry goals of the school. These compatibility issues are demonstrated by the reading and signing of a Mission, Philosophy, and Doctrinal Statement as part of the agreement to lecture at Word of Life Bible Institute which is on file in the President’s office. Adjunct Faculty members are free to contact the secretarial staff or other associates on the Bible Institute staff to discuss teaching assignments, teaching dates, travel arrangements, financial arrangements, accommodation needs, classroom needs, etc. However, the final responsibility for Adjunct Faculty care falls to the Academic Dean, and Adjunct Faculty members should feel free to contact him for any concerns. Upon confirmation of teaching assignments and teaching dates, first time Adjunct Faculty members will receive an information packet to guide their preparation for their course and time at Word of Life Bible Institute. Returning Adjunct Faculty members will receive their packets approximately 3 months prior to their teaching dates.
