Faculty Handbook_2025-26

C. Adjunct Faculty Evaluations Guest lecturers are assessed in peer-to-peer format once every three years at a minimum. The Academic Dean functions as the primary peer-to-peer evaluator and manager of faculty assessment. Faculty assessment efforts are coordinated between New York and Florida. At the end of each course, the students complete evaluations of the lecturer. The results of these evaluations are placed in the faculty members’ file which he or she can review in the President’s Office.

III. MISCELLANEOUS A. Guidelines for Preparing Course Syllabi

We would like to maintain uniformity of design, description and requirements for all the courses taught at Word of Life Bible Institute. Therefore, both the resident instructors and the visiting lecturers are asked to develop their course descriptions following these guidelines. We feel that the students will be better served in that: 1. They will have their assignments and grading breakdown for each course in written form. 2. They will see how the assignments will be graded. 3. They will have a better understanding as to how each course fits into the overall curriculum and how it aids in achieving the stated purpose of study here at Word of Life. 4. They will see what they can expect to know and do at the end of the study. 5. They will have extra resources identified for collateral study in the Word of Life Bible Institute Library and recommended books for future purchase and research.

Instructors Affected 1. Resident Faculty teaching core curriculum and electives. 2. Part-time Faculty teaching assigned courses and electives. 3. Guest Lecturers teaching assigned courses.
