Elder Abuse Fatality Review Teams Senate Bill 452 and Companion House Bill 583 The legislation would have created in each judicial circuit a multidisciplinary, multiagency elder abuse fatality review team. The teams would have reviewed fatal incidents involving elder abuse and would have made policy recommendations to help prevent future incidents.

Medically Essential Electric Utility Service House Bill 651 and Companion Senate Bill 1370 The legislation would have required all electric utilities to provide additional residential consumer education about medically essential electric service programs. It would have required counties, as part of their local emergency management plans: (1) to identify facilities for which the restoration of electric service is deemed critical for public health, safety, welfare, or security reasons; and (2) to regularly update and share this information with local electric utilities. Protection for Vulnerable Investors Senate Bill 1466 and Companion House Bill 143 The legislation would have added financial securities dealers and investment advisers to the list of specified persons required to report financial abuse or exploitation of vulnerable adults and the elderly to the central abuse hotline.
