3. Computation of Grade Point Averages: Grade point averages (GPA) are determined at the end of each grading period. The cumulative GPA is computed using the following formula: quality points earned divided by hours attempted. 4. Distribution of Grades: Students should share their student portal username and password with their parents, if they desire to have access to their student’s grades. Due to FERPA regulations, without written consent from the student, WOLBI is not authorized to discuss the student’s academic standing with any third parties. 5. Correction of Grades: Students have two weeks to question grades by contacting the Assistant to the Academic Dean. D. Study Hours Study Hours are designated periods intended for focused, independent academic work. To maintain an environment conducive to concentration and productivity, talking, phone use, and other overt distractions are not permitted.

All students are required to complete study hours during the first five weeks of their enrollment. Students entering their sophomore year with a cumulative GPA above 2.5 will be exempt from this requirement.

Every five weeks, the Academic Office reviews students’ GPAs. At that time, any student with either a cumulative or current semester GPA above 2.5 will be exempt from study hours. Students who do not meet this requirement will either remain in or reenter study hours. Students in study hours will be responsible for spending a total of four hours in intentional and focused study each week. Students are required to study in two time blocks, each lasting two hours, chosen from five available options. While the available time slots remain the same, students may choose different slots each week to accommodate their schedules. Students may study in a location of their choice but are encouraged to use study- friendly spaces.
