Music fans across Newfoundland and Labrador are gearing up for one of the province’s biggest entertainment events as the Churchill Park Music Festival returns to St. John’s for four exciting nights of world-class live music in July 2026. Held at Churchill Park on Elizabeth Avenue, the annual festival has become one of Atlantic Canada’s premier outdoor music events, attracting thousands of concertgoers from across the province and beyond. The 2026 edition is shaping up to be one of the festival’s strongest lineups yet, featuring an impressive mix of pop, country, rock, and chart-topping talent. The festival will take place over two weekends, with concerts scheduled for July 17, 18, 24, and 25. Organizers have assembled a lineup that appeals to a wide range of music lovers while continuing the festival’s tradition of bringing internationally acclaimed artists to Newfoundland and Labrador. Leading off the festival on Friday, July 17, is pop superstar Kesha. Known for massive hits such as “Tik Tok,” “Die Young,” and “Praying,” Kesha’s energetic stage presence and catalogue of chart-topping songs are expected to deliver a high-energy opening night. Additional supporting performers for the evening are expected to be announced. Country music takes center stage on Saturday, July 18, when Grammy Award- winning trio The Chicks headline the second night of the festival. The legendary group, known for classics including “Wide Open Spaces,” “Cowboy Take Me Away,” and “Not Ready to Make Nice,” will be joined by acclaimed singer-songwriter Elle King and Canadian music icon Amanda Marshall. This powerful lineup is expected to be one of the
most anticipated nights of the festival. The country theme continues on Friday, July 24, with Australian superstar Keith Urban headlining. Urban remains one of country music’s most successful performers, boasting multiple Grammy Awards and a string of international hits. Joining him are fan favourites Russell Dickerson and Canadian country star Dallas Smith, creating a lineup that promises an unforgettable night for country music enthusiasts. The festival concludes on Saturday, July 25, with rock veterans Matchbox Twenty taking the stage as the final headliner. Fronted by Rob Thomas, the band has sold millions of albums worldwide and remains one of the most recognizable names in modern rock. Supporting acts announced so far include Phillip Phillips and Timber, with additional performers expected to be revealed as the festival approaches. Since its inception, the Churchill Park Music Festival has become much more than a concert series. The event generates significant economic activity for St. John’s, benefiting hotels, restaurants, retailers, and tourism operators throughout the city. Its ability to attract major international artists while showcasing Newfoundland as a destination for live entertainment has helped establish the festival as a cornerstone of the province’s summer tourism season. With a lineup featuring Kesha, The Chicks, Keith Urban, and Matchbox Twenty, along with an impressive supporting cast, the 2026 Churchill Park Music Festival is poised to deliver four unforgettable nights of music and entertainment in the heart of St. John’s.
