Our History & Philosophy
Our company was founded in the 1920’s as a player in the sugar cane industry. From there we diversified into energy, property, banking, and since 1975, tourism. Our group aims is to create a unique portfolio of luxury hotels. Far from the concept of a ‘hotel chain’, we prefer to use the special attributes that each site has to offer – both in terms of their natural beauty and history. We have a strong regional heritage that is derived from our being a ‘local’ group, based in the Indian Ocean island. Our part of the world has a natural tradition of warm hospitality, and we like to welcome guests to our hotels as VIP’s. We strive to provide exemplary customer care, both with international staff, and by recruiting people local to each hotel.

Your Culinary Experience The Indian Ocean is at the heart of ancient trade routes, and the islands are justly famous for their trade in exotic spices and produce. The islands have their own rich culinary traditions, and thanks to modern day trade and travel, are also able to source fine ingredients from around the world.
Constance Le Prince Maurice – 3 restaurants
L’Archipel restaurant offers an extensive menu of Asian and Mauritian cuisine, with a large variety of steamed dishes, curries, game and fish. Le Barachois is a floating restaurant in a uniquely romantic setting. Reached by a raised wooden boardwalk over the water, the restaurant has superb sunset views out across the lagoon. It specialises in fish dishes. The Asian restaurant in the Laguna Bar offers lunch and dinner selections of Sushi, Sashimi, Maki, and dim-sum.
Constance Belle Mare Plage – 7 restaurants
La Citronnelle Restaurant provides daily themed buffets from various countries around the Indian Ocean. La Spiaggia in the villas by Constance Belle Mare Plage offers Mediterranean dishes by the beach, including cuisine from Lebanon, Morocco, Provence and Tuscany. Deer Hunter is a place where Mauritian flavours can be enjoyed whilst overlooking the 18th hole of the golf course. It also makes a sublime setting for a romantic dinner under the stars. Blue Penny Café is a gastronomic restaurant with a broad menu of cosmopolitan flavours in an exclusive setting – tucked under the cascade of a waterfall. It boats an extensive wine cellar and cigar cabinet. Indigo Beach Restaurant is open for meals at lunch, for sandwiches in the afternoon, and also presents special themed evenings. La Kaze beach restaurant overlooks the lagoon and offers lunch buffets, afternoon tea, and BBQ’s in the evenings (in season). Le Swing is in the Links Golf Club house with views over the magnificent course. It is open for lunch and for light meals in the afternoon.
Constance Lémuria Seychelles – 3 restaurants
The Legend is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in the Seychelles. It specialises in fresh seafood, international, and Creole cuisines. The Sea Horse offers a gorgeous «new seychellois» concept cuisine. Seafood is caught locally and enhanced with local herbs and spices and Italian specialities. The Beach Bar & Grill is set amongst the smoothed granite boulders that border the beach. It offers a la carte catches of the day, seafood specialities, and an extensive dinner menu.
Constance Ephelia Seychelles – 5 restaurants
Corossol ‘Culinary Atoll’ is the main half board restaurant. It serves international cuisine in buffet style, with a large variety of attractive food stations.An important focus is on creating interactions between chefs and guests. Helios is a casual chic restaurant offering Mediterranean cuisine on the South Beach, and featuring a wood-burning oven. Cyann is the haute cuisine restaurant of the resort, offering the very best in ingredients, dishes, and surroundings. Adam & Eve ‘Ethnic Grill’ is the a la carte restaurant on South Beach. It has a relaxed and cool vibe with a sand floor, and a design inspired by Africa and the granite boulders of Seychelles. Seselwa is a casual all day a la carte restaurant with a delightful ambience, facing the North Beach.
Constance Halaveli Maldives – 3 restaurants
The Jahaz Restaurant & Bar features ‘culinary atoll’ food stations, serving international cuisine, plus it puts on themed evenings and special events. Jahaz means ‘ship’ in ancient Indian. The Jing Restaurant & Bar is an Asian chic eatery on stilts that features fusion cuisine where Asian dishes are combined with European touches. Jing means ‘flavours’ in Chinese. The Meeru – meaning ‘tasty’ in Maldivian - is a barefoot grill that offers a wide range of seafood in a splendid al fresco setting.
Constance Moofushi Maldives – 2 restaurants
Manta Restaurant Go on a culinary adventure with the international - themed menus at Manta. Laid back barefoot dining is the order of the day at this buffet restaurant with white sand floors and view across the ocean. The theme of the restaurant changes daily, from Maldivian up to Oriental, Sri Lankan and Indian specialities. pair each night’s gastronomic delights with the perfect wine from our extensive wine selection, assisted by our team of friendly sommeliers. Alizee Restaurant Dine on the beach with sand between your toes at the elegantly laid back Alizee Beach Grill à la carte restaurant. Your Children’s Paradise Constance Hotels and Resorts is upping the stakes in the luxury family holiday sector with a complete makeover of all the complimentary Constance Kid’s Clubs.Younger guests – aged from 4-11 are invited to unleash their adventurous spirit at our kid’s clubs, where fully trained and enthusiastic coordinators lead trips of island exploration, teach the making of local crafts, a lead cooking lessons and treasure hunts. Making use of the exotic locations is a key part of our daily kid’s programmes. Our facilities and activities allow children to play and interact with other kids from around the world. Your Golf Guide The islands of the Indian Ocean enjoy an ideal climate for year-round golf, and our championship courses are exceptional. Mauritius and the Seychelles have almost 300 days of sunshine a year, with daily temperatures ranging from 25ºC and 35ºC in Mauritius and 28ºC and 36ºC in the Seychelles, depending on the season.
The Legend - Constance Belle Mare Plage Mauritius
This par 72, 6018m course put Mauritius on the map as a golf destination when it opened in 1994. Designed by South African champion Hugh Baiocchi, it spreads over 70 hectares of a former deer reserve, where deer still roam. Hotel guests are exempt from green fees, as the are complimentary to anyone staying at the resort. The Legend’s signature hole is the 17 th , which lies 152m above the tranquil waters of the lagoon. The clubhouse by the 18th hole has a superb bar and renowned restaurant.
The Links - Constance Belle Mare Plage Mauritius
The second 18-hole golf course at the resort opened in 2002. It differs greatly from the Legend owing to the fact that it is designed as a links concept, with wide rolling fairways. It’s a par 71, 5,556m course and the 18 th is its signature hole. The clubhouse has a bar and a beautiful practice fairway. Like its sister course, the Links has a Golf Academy that offers coaching on the course by qualified instructors. The course was designed by Peter Allis and Rodney Wright. The Lémuria - Constance Lémuria Seychelles This heavenly golf course is a par 70 that covers 5,556m. The first 9 holes are on flat land amidst a coconut-palm grove, while the other 9 are on hilly slopes with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean. The clubhouse has a bar and restaurant, lessons and coaching are provided by the resident pro, and the course was designed by Marc-Antoine Farry and Rodney Wright.

Constance Tsarabanjina is a barefoot luxury resort on a small 86-acre island, 60 kilometres from Nosy Be, Madagascar. Guests here can cast off the stresses of daily life and are free to roam bare footed - perhaps wearing a sarong - along numerous sandy pathways and three beautiful beaches. The sand is powder white, the water warm and turquoise, and the forested interior is home to tropical flowers, plants and birds.
