Lydia’s home was made up of a bap­ tized household, and she welcomed the preachers and Christians there. In fact, th is home was th e birthplace of the Philippian church. To Adam P aradise was home. To the good among his descendants, home is our only earth ly Paradise. Saved a t Home.—H arry had been a bad boy, indeed. His m o ther’s h eart was broken, his fa th e r’s business well nigh ruined, himself, a wreck. W hat was to be done? Call a fam ily council. Uhcle John said, If ever man had a kind fath e r and a loving mother, H arry had, and how had he responded! Aunt Mary said th e same. All relatives echoed, “Amen” . Children Needed to Make a Home.— “Home is th e fa th e r’s kingdom , the children’s paradise, and th e m o ther’s world.” There is a story of a family, who were so poor, they could not keep th e four children, so. they decided to sell one in order to ta k e care of the other th ree. They could no t p art w ith the eldest, for he was th eir first-born. The second was exactly like his father, and th e wife could no t spare him. The fath e r could no t let th e "third one go, because he was th e exact image of his wife. Then they though t of th e baby, bu t they could not spare the little_ Ben­ jam in of th e ir old age. The m utual love for each other ought to keep home together. A Home Needs Discipline.—-George ' S tu art said he was once in a home where

If these homes should be separated, not by th e ir w ealth, b u t according to the Christian character displayed, into which pile would your home fall? Can we classify your family as an unsaved family, a professing Christian family, or a Christian fam ily w ith a family altar?
