2021 Committee Goals – Accomplishment Overview

2021 goals were tied to the Club’s Strategic Topics .

• Initiation Fee increase, programs, and timeline approved for adoption effective April 1, 2022.

• Strategic Planning Committee discussed and ultimately decided not to change the projected path of 2025 for dues equalization.

• Stockholder’s approved Constitutional language change rega rding gender of President.

• Strategic Planning Committee created a Community Engagement best practices document for future endeavors.

• Tasked Board activity committees (Athletics, Golf, Racquet Sports, House, and Membership) with establishing 2022 goals and action plans in service of Vision 2025 progress. • Strategic Planning Committee asked David Lyons to chair a committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging with the end result ultimately being a recommendation to the Strategic Planning Committee regarding future DIB efforts at CCV. .

• The Racquets Sports Master Plan Committee finished their work at the direction of the Strategic Planning Committee and submitted a final master plan in November 2021 for consideration as a part of the four-phase master plan process.

2022 Committee Goals – Accomplishment Overview

Membership: • Conducted full review of nomination and election process. Implemented revised nomination packet materials as a result. • Outlined new Membership Development Committee role effective July 1 • Enhanced the role of the primary sponsor Finance: • CCV Business Model – reviewed and determined current model is in-tact; propose sharing in small group settings for broader educational purposes

Governance: • Guideline Book for Advisory Committees approved for use in 2023 committee formation

Staff/Staff Development: •

Succession Planning work for General Manager & CFO roles

Programming/Amenities: •

Indoor Tennis Guideline Revisions adopted and effective 1/2/23 – 3/5/23 • Robust changes in offerings for programs & events in activity areas (ex: “Bourbon & Bombs” in Golf; “Pickleball Three & Me” in Racquets, etc.) • Youth Department hosted focus groups to evaluate current and future programming desires from members

Community Engagement: •

St. Andrew’s School Back to School Picnic; September 16 • St. Andrew’s School 5 th Grade Field Trip; October 21 • River City Collegiate Classic, Round 1; October 24 • Ronald McDonald House Charities Meals Donation; November 16

Facilities: •

Tuckahoe Creek Course Master Plan Revision – in progress • Westhampton Clubhouse & Adjacencies Master Plan – in progress • James River Hardscape: dedicated attention in making it an equitable facility addition

Innovation: •

Golf cart GPS technology & Cap Patrol HNCP system

Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging: • The SPC evolved the DIB Committee’s recommendation into a Strategic Action Plan with phas ed goals.

2023 Committee Goals – Initial Look

All Board Activity Committees have discussed and adopted goals for 2023 as of their January Committee meetings. Committees responsible for these goals are noted in blue.

Membership: (all membership goals below handled by Membership Committee) • Clarity and process around wait list management • DIB initiatives, both internally and externally • Continue efforts to improve understanding of expectations of behavior of Junior Members • Evaluate the need, feasibility, and process around creating a temporary membership category.

Finance: •

Continued work on Business Model Education (Strategic Planning Committee) • Golf Committee plans to research data aggregator program that can assist with analyzing the GAP on multiple data points. Make recommendation to Committee for revision to Golf Activities Package structure and fee schedule. (Golf Committee)

Governance: •

Review of Board load and evaluation of how time is spent (Executive Committee)

Staff/Staff Development: (Staff & Executive Committee) • With a new HR Director in place, goals will be more effectively established • Continued Succession Planning Efforts • Begin a full- scale review of the Club’s benefits package • Create a full-scale staff communications plan

Programming/Amenities: • Committees will focus innovative ways to deal with the compression and access issues that we are facing with high membership totals and continued increase usage post-pandemic. (ALL Committees) • Youth Department plans to continue with focus groups to better understand the needs and desires of the end user (Athletics Committee) • House Committee plans to identify key areas of strategic advantage and how to enhance, protect or maintain in the future (House Committee) • House Committee plans to identify and strategize ways to leverage under-utilized assets (House Committee) Community Engagement: (ALL Committees) • The following are examples of organizations that have been identified as potential partners in the future: o St. Andrews School o Virginia State University o Virginia Union University o Peavey Project • Staff will work to find ways to enhance leverage around the DECC

Facilities: •

Adult pool refresh (Athletics Committee)

• TC Golf Master Plan complete (Golf Committee) • WH Clubhouse & Adjacencies Master Plan complete (House Committee) • Begin JR Clubhouse Master Plan (House Committee) • Begin to identify and evaluate uses for the property at 6000 St. Andrews Lane. (Committee TBD) • Begin to positively impact safety at the corner of St. Andrews Lane and Three Chopt Road (Committee TBD) Innovation: • Golf Committee plans to research, recommend, and implement technology systems that will benefit the operations and member experience. (Golf Committee)
