HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM Home School doesn’t always mean you have to stay home! Join our Park Naturalist at the Delores Fenwick Nature Center for our monthly Home School Programming. Every second Wednesday of the month, we will dive into various STEAM aligned topics to further our understanding of the natural world. Programs will be applicable to children ages 5 to 18 and will not meet during the month of March. Registration is only required for participating children and we ask that parents attend with their children. This program is a rain or shine event. Registration for each month’s program is done individually. Topics for Winter/Spring include: January: Hibernation and other winter adaptations February: Migration and Migratory Birds March: Will not meet Join us for our Spring Break Activities April: Watersheds and Natural Filtration May: Invasive Species $10 resident / $12.50 non-resident 5-18 years DFNC Second Wed./month, Jan. 8 - May 13, 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

FIELD TRIPS The Delores Fenwick Nature Center is now booking field trips for remainder of the school year. Field Trip Programs are designed by grade level and are TEK- aligned. Each group will be able to discover the traits of a healthy ecosystem, learn ways to help protect natural areas and of course, meet live animals. Reservations are required at a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. Pricing begins at $8 per participating child. Don’t delay, book today! Don’t bow down to the insect overlords! Fight back with your own personal flock of Winged Mammals! On Saturday, February 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. you can Go BATTY! as you join our Park Naturalist to build your very own Bat House! During this workshop, participants will separate fact from fiction while they learn

and necessary building materials will be covered in the registration fee for

the program. Class size is limited to 10 bat houses but couples/families may attend together. Please only register 1 person per household as registration and fees are only required for the reservation of a bat house. We ask that registered participants bring no more than 4 additional attendees. Please be advised that this program is in a lecture format with the use of tools and may not be suitable for children under 8 years old. This program is a rain or shine event. $30 resident / $37.50 non-resident 18+ years DFNC Sat., Feb. 1, 1 - 3 p.m.
