MATT’S BOOK OF THE MONTH ‘Squeeze Me’ By Carl Hiaasen
Hello, newsletter friends! In last month’s edition, I talked about how I enjoy reading and wish I could join or create a book club. I also mentioned how I wanted to use my newsletter to share some of my favorite books each month. This month, I have a book for you that I really enjoyed — and I think you will, too! For those who haven’t read Carl Hiaasen, he is a South Florida Native who worked for the Miami Herald South Florida Publications. The not-so- subtle take on politics, Palm Beach, and current affairs are right on the nose. This is a quick read and is light- hearted; take it with a grain of salt.
in the story’s gaps. But to solve the murder, he must work with a wild crew of unpredictable characters such as his just recent ex-lover, a fugitive from Kansas, the widow of the previous owner of the frozen arm, two real-estate spectators, a voodoo witch, and a bad monkey.
The highly entertaining storyline is especially relatable to us South Floridians. The cleverly written descriptions of its true to
Both of these stories will take you on a wild ride. Happy reading!
