BTECs are high-quality, career-focused qualifications grounded in the real world of work. This means BTEC learners develop and apply the knowledge, skills and behaviours that employers and universities are looking for. BTECs are developed with employers and higher education experts, so you can trust that anyone with a BTEC will demonstrate the high standards of knowledge,
practical skills and understanding required for further study and employment. The College also issues UAL (University of the Arts London) and NextGen/AIM Diplomas for creative courses. Barnet and Southgate College offers BTECs/Diplomas in the following subjects:
FOUNDATiON LEARNiNG AND GcSE cOURSES We run structured programmes for students wishing to catch up on qualifications or who wish to improve their GCSE grades. These include Bridging Course options to progress from Level 1 and Functional Skills up to GCSE level in several subjects, such as Business, IT, Art and Design and Creative Media.
