Stride_Say "Hello Again" to Pain-Free Knees & Hips

Walking Lunge Stand comfortably with your feet shoulder width apart. Take a large step forward with one leg, keeping your back foot in starting position while rolling onto your toes. Keep your spine straight and your forward and back knees bent, so that you make right angles with your hip, knee, and ankle. As you lunge, you should feel a stretch across the front of the hip and thigh. Hold for 30 seconds and repeat 2-5 times. EXERCISE ESSENTIALS Use This Exercise to Keep You Moving

When you experience severe pain after sustaining an injury, it is usually the result of a restricted joint. Our physiotherapists are specially trained to mobilize restricted joints by applying pressure at a low velocity. Mobilization techniques are safe, effective, and painless, allowing for an increase in your range of motion, and the improvement of the restricted joint’s mobility. Joint issues are often the hidden underlying factors driving other types of injuries and ailments. We strongly encourage you to consult with a physiotherapist with any type of acute or chronic dysfunction. Your joints could be contributing to your pain without you even realizing it! How Can I Benefit from Joint Mobilization? A joint can become irritated, swollen, ormisalignedasaresult of injury, stress, poor posture, repetitive movement, or even as a result of age-related wear and tear. When this happens, the joint may not move correctly and become stiff and painful. Nearby structures including muscles, tendons, and ligaments may become tense or injured as a compensatory effect of trying to support or stabilize the injured joint. This can lead to muscle weakness or even impingement and damage to nearby nerves. If you come with acute or chronic joint pain, we will assess and evaluate everything from your range of motion, strength, coordination, pain level, posture, and even relative tissue tension and feel inorder tohelpusdevise an accurate diagnosis. Based on exam findings and information about your current and past medical history, we’ll be able to devise a customized treatment plan to meet your unique needs. Jointmobilizationtechniqueshave been shown to be effective for a variety of conditions. JOINT MOBILIZATION Featured Service
