On May 14-16, AICC will host the AI Xperience in Chi- cago, Illinois which will delve into the artificial intelligence movement and how it will be relevant to packaging busi- nesses. “We want to educate our members about that be- cause it’s critical information,” D’Angelo said. Today, AICC has roughly 500 members, 300 of which are box makers, and 200 that are associate or supplier members. There were closer to 1,000 members during the 25th anniversary timeframe which D’Angelo attributes to the many consolidations. That, however, doesn’t change AICC’s mission, D’Angelo said. “AICC’s responsibility to those member companies doesn’t change just because of an acquisition,” he said, noting that membership is steady in the US and Canada with tremendous growth now in Mexico. Another anniversary celebration will be the Emerging Leaders, a program designed to elevate the careers of packaging professionals 35 and under. Now going on 10 years, there are 130 members helping sustain the future of the industry. Many EL alumni will also be there to celebrate. The educational program provides ample networking op- portunities which in 1974 is something AICC wasn’t even thinking about, D’Angelo said. For info about the Spring Meeting, visit aiccbox.org .
