Vector has investments in a number of businesses that complement our network businesses and strengthen our capabilities in the energy services field.

KAPUNI ENERGY JOINT VENTURE Vector Kapuni Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Vector) holds a 50% interest in an unincorporated joint venture that operates a cogeneration plant situated at the Kapuni Gas Treatment Plant, producing electricity and steam for the gas treatment plant and other customers. TREESCAPE Vector holds a 50% shareholding in Tree Scape Limited, one of Australasia’s largest specialist tree and vegetation management companies, with depots throughout New Zealand and in Queensland and New South Wales. Treescape employs more than 600 staff. Its customers include councils, utilities, government agencies, construction companies and developers. Treescape implements Vector’s planned vegetation management programme, which plays a major role in minimising the impact of severe weather on Vector’s electricity network. www.treescape.co.nz LIQUIGAS NGC Holdings Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Vector) holds a 60.25% shareholding in Liquigas Limited, New Zealand’s leading company for tolling, storage and distribution of bulk LPG. Liquigas has staff and depots in Auckland, New Plymouth, Christchurch and Dunedin. www.liquigas.co.nz mPREST Vector holds a 8.1% shareholding in mPrest Systems (2003) Limited. The mPrest technology allows companies to better monitor, analyse, and control energy networks and connect traditional infrastructure like electricity lines and substations with new technology like solar and battery energy solutions. www.mprest.com
