Graduate Assistantships are available in most departments. Most graduate assistants teach, while others serve as research assistants or staff assistants. Assistant contracts include a salary, tuition waiver, health insurance, and health and wellness fees. SCHOLARSHIPS Graduate students are encouraged to apply for scholarships at CWU. Many of our departments have program-specific scholarships available as well. NON-RESIDENT WAIVER We value the diverse perspectives our students bring to CWU. Many of our out-of-state students receive tuition waivers. WESTERN INTERSTATE COMMISSION FOR HIGHER EDUCATION (WICHE) If you live in a WICHE state and are in an eligible program, you qualify for in-state tuition. wiche.edu/our-region
