Victim Services
It ’ s been an impactful year for victim services in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. There are two staff advocates who serve the region. We are just a phone call, text or email away ready to talk to victims who may need just a little extra support. We unveiled Feel Good Fridays on our social media platforms, which are short videos from our staff to remind us to take a break, look for things that make you smile and make self - care a priority. We ’ ve had a great response to our videos. Our first Candlelight Vigil was held in Milwaukee in October, and we are planning Vigils in 2024 in Illinois and Iowa. This is another chance to bring families together to receive comfort from each other and honor their loved ones. We continue to host a peer support group monthly via the web and encourage you to drop in and visit with us. Groups are informal and we consider it a safe environment to share feelings that might not be understood by others. The heart of MADD is victim services, and we are grateful you allow us to be a part of your journey.
