The role will report directly to the KUSCO Interim Managing Director and have the following direct line reports;

Purpose: The role drives the strategy of the KUSCO asset management regime and delivers effective maintenance programmes and a long term maintenance plan as part of the University’s development. Main areas of focus within the role are: • Provide sound technical knowledge to the three Campus Service Managers when they or their Technical Supervisors need guidance around maintaining assets in the most efficient and effective manner. The team have some basic knowledge but need the help around the complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems used in the heating and cooling functions within buildings. • Manage the CAFM team and asset management system (Planon) to ensure all plant is maintained in accordance with the agreed KUSCO maintenance strategy. The system will also deliver timely, relevant and fully detailed management information to support strategic decisions and investments going forward. The role will involve managing two highly effective members of staff (an Asset Manager and a Data Entry Clerk) with extensive knowledge of the current systems and assets within the University property portfolio.
