One of the most difficult things Millie and I ever did was to start the Word of Life ministry in Florida. Everybody told us to quit. People said it will never happen and that is was impossible. But, praise God, in 1990 we opened the Word of Life facility in Florida. Today it is home to a Bible conference center, a youth camp, an RV park, and the Florida campus of Word of Life Bible Institute. It’s a miracle what God has done. And God says, remember .
Yesterday is a Memory. Thank God for all the memories we have.
Tomorrow is a Mystery. We don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow.
Today is a Gift. That’s why we call it the present.
Philippians 1:6 puts it this way... Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you (and that was the day we were saved) will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. He keeps us going. He keeps us moving ahead for the glory of God. After I retired from my active ministry at Word of Life, it took me about two years to get my act together. I was sitting around living in the past. I wasn’t moving forward. But then God reminded me, Come on, get up, you can live for me today . Every morning when I wake up, I sit on the edge of my bed, and I say, God, here’s another day. I’m glad I’m still here. You must have something for me to do. What I want to do is to magnify Your name. I want to please you in all that I do. Remember this, Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world ( I John 4:4). That’s why we keep moving ahead. Psalm 118:24 says it beautifully... This is the day that the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
