Our Incredible Journey

Foreword

Harry Bollback has lived a long time.

He was born during the presidency of Calvin Coolidge. That means Harry spent his growing-up years during the Roaring ‘20’s and the Great Depression of the ‘30’s. He met Jack Wyrtzen after one of his rallies in December 1941. He first played the piano for him on December 7, 1941, the day of the Pearl Harbor attack that launched the United States into World War II. And that led Harry to serve with the Marines in the South Pacific. After he met and married Millie, they spent many years as missionaries in Brazil. Eventually he came back to America to lead the worldwide expansion of Word of Life. Harry told the story of his life in his book, Our Incredible Journey . This book is not a continuation of that story, it’s something else entirely. Harry has lived long enough to see the world he was born into disappear altogether. No one knew about the internet back in those early days in Brooklyn where he grew up. No one could imagine satellites or television or men walking on the moon, much less, social media and talking gadgets in your home.
