Think about that, friends. The Jesus we read about in the Bible is coming again. The angels said He is coming back the same way He left ...personally, visibly, bodily.
Jesus is coming again! That’s a promise from God.
Let’s go to the last page of the last book of the Bible. The very last prayer in the Bible is found in Revelation 22:20, Even so, come, Lord Jesus. We have the first promise... This same Jesus is coming again ... and here the last prayer is, Even so, come, Lord Jesus . But today many people don’t believe that. They say, Where is He? If He’s going to come and rule and reign in this world to make everything right, why doesn’t He come? Why is He taking so long to return? We find the answer in 2 Peter 3:3, which tells us that, There shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, where is the promise of His coming? I believe we are living in the last days, and the mockers and scoffers are all around us. They say, We’ve been waiting for thousands of years for Jesus. Where is He? Here is God’s answer from 2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slack concerning His promise. What promise? The promise of His return. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. I can tell you why He has not yet returned. He has delayed His return because He does not want anyone to perish and spend eternity in hell. He’s still looking for people whom He can rescue from sin and take to heaven.
So here is my prayer:
Lord, until you take me Home, I want to be like Jesus. I want to reach out and rescue people who are not saved before it is eternally too late. The desire of my heart is to see you, and one day I will see you, but until that
