Yusen Logistics UK has been a NOVUS Sponsor since 2019.
NOVUS is a not-for-profit collaborative venture between leading blue-chip companies and prominent Universities: Aston University, Cardiff University, University of Derby, University of Huddersfield, University of Hull, Middlesex University and Northumbria University. The scheme is designed to attract, inspire and develop the next generation of supply chain professionals. At present, only limited numbers of students choose to study logistics at degree level, with demand for graduates outstripping supply. NOVUS leverages company brands and unique benefits to act as a strategic solution to the skills shortage in the sector. Yusen provides NOVUS students with the opportunity to apply for placements and our graduate Management Trainee Programme. Roles in warehouse and transport operations, freight forwarding, solution design and project management are available following completion of our Management Trainee (Graduate) Programme.
In 2022 Yusen Logistics UK supported: • 2 placements • 1 graduate role
As part of the NOVUS programme, Yusen colleagues can also support students by volunteering and being trained to become a Mentor to support young talent.
