Feature 2: Health safety environment
The Risk and Audit Committee Yusen Logistics UK operates a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management framework, designed to identify and reduce risk throughout the business. In addition, our dedicated Audit Function assesses the adequacy of internal controls and identifies improvements to the control environment in order to mitigate risk. The Risk and Audit Committee meet quarterly and is attended by the Executive Committee members. The committee provides members with an oversight of the company’s risk profile and audit activities, and an opportunity to: • Set risk reduction strategies and priorities, considering emerging risks, risk appetite and risk tolerance; • Hold those to account for effective and timely implementation of corrective actions, to address risk management deficiencies; • Review and approve appropriate policies and procedures relating to risk management, governance, and wider control practices; and • Review and provide input into audit priorities, the audit plan and outputs from completed audit reviews.
Health Safety Environment Committee The HSE committee take a standardised approach across all UK operating sites, focusing on tracking actions and ensuring progress in legal compliance and colleagues' involvement can be evidenced, and clear responsibilities demonstrated. Sustainability Steering Committee Our Sustainability Committee is a core structure within our organisation and leads the implementation of our sustainability strategy and actions across our organisation. Representatives from key business units and functions, are responsible for; • Developing the Sustainability Strategy and Action Plan of the organisation • Follow up on the delivery of initiatives and reporting to the Company Executive Committee and to the YLUK statutory board.
