We would like to invite you to join us for our Annual Bull Sale on Friday April 3rd 2026 at Sterling Livestock Commission. We are blessed and thankful that you have bought into our program. Even more important to us is the true friendships that we have formed! I have enjoyed being able to help you out whenever I can, whether with genetic improvement or feeding the bulls until you need them. I have also cherished the conversations about your programs, gaining a better understanding of how your program operates and the challenges you face! I am hopeful through these interactions you have continued to gain confidence in who we are and how our program works. I am encouraged with the genetics we are striving to produce for your program now and for the future! This year has been amazing for Vicky & I. We are very blessed to have had all our kids and grandkids home for Christmas; it was just outstanding! This winter has really consisted of about 7 snowy days split up by 1 month. We have never experienced anything like it in our 26 years in Sterling. In addition, we have absolutely loved living and working with Don Magnuson on his ranch. He is a very special individual and has truly blessed and taken care of us! He is allowing us to increase our fall calving program that sure seems to be working well. The last amazing thing, which I never thought possible after last year, the cattle market has absolutely gone crazy. It has been unbelievable and we are very grateful. Our program has been designed and built on the backs of our Angus cows! We have laid all financial and genetic improvement on them to carry the cost and to improve at the same time! We are fanatical about efficiency. Our cows must raise an AI or ET calf and have a replacement heifer or sale bull. They only get 2 breeding cycles to achieve that goal. Otherwise they are sold in the sale as pairs or bred cows. Our cows must not have any feet or udder issues. If so, they are either used as recipients or culled, period! Our donors need to be flushed and bred back to calve in that same 45-day window. We expect every cow to produce a bull for the sale or a replacement heifer, so we must have extremely efficient, highly fertile, quality cows!

We will con- tinue to raise bulls & females for our April sale at Sterling Livestock , business as usual! 2026 is our 24th annual sale at Sterling Livestock Commission! It has been a blessing to work with Jim, Becky, Jason, Jenny and the rest of the crew at the yard! Our Annual Sale is Friday, April 3, 2026!
