Anthony D. Wilbon, Ph.D., P.M.P Becomes the Fourth Dean of the Howard University School Of Business SCHOOL OF BUSINESS CELEBRATES 50 TH ANNIVERSARY

H oward University’s School Of Business is in its 50 th year of operation and at the helm is College Park Sandy Spring (MD) Alumni Chapter’s very own Dr. Anthony D. Wilbon (Delta Pi 1984). This accomplished brother, back by the support of his colleagues, staff, and stu- dents, is ready to propel this program to new heights and continue to distinguish this program as one of the top programs in the nation. "I am honored and privileged to be cho- sen as the fourth Dean of the Howard University School Of Business,” said Wilbon. “We face a world with constantly evolving environmental challenges and higher education must transform itself to incorporate broader collabora- tions, dynamic curriculum, innovative pedagogy, and more engaging scholarly research. As an alum of Howard’s MBA program, I have a vested interest in see- ing us expand our strategic position as we continue to be an important contribu- tor to business education in the global community.” Brother Dr. Wilbon graduated with a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineer- ing. He would go onto attain a masters in Business Administration from the Howard University School of Business, and a doctor of philosophy degree in Management of Science, Technology and Innovation from George Washing- ton University. He would sharpen his skills and further elevate himself with a multitude of certifications that would become so instrumental in his leadership legacy such as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and being a recipient of a Fulbright International Education Administrators Award.

His contagious passion and leadership cemented the support of his colleagues as he has moved through different positions in the business school. With the leveraging of resources, sound practices, collaboration, and sheer determination to never give up anything is possible in business and Brother Dr. Anthony D. Wilbon’s ca- reer has proven that. He is a shining example of ACHIEVEMENT and exemplary testament to what Howard University School Of Business strives to be in the coming years with this Brother leading the way. “As the School Of Business celebrates its 50 th anniversary, we are poised to leverage the historical uniqueness of Howard University by expanding our programs through new innovations in management educa- tion,” said Wilbon. “I look forward to the challenge of leading our faculty, staff and students to greater ascension in thought leadership and societal impact."

He has led many different teams in different arenas to immense successes: research teams that generated millions in research and contract funds, consultation teams for multimillion dollar businesses, and analysis teams for federal programs. He is a published scholar with over 50 peer reviewed publications, reports, and a book. With his connection to the How- ard University School Of Business, his passion to elevate this program to elite heights has been on display since he started working at Howard University. As an associate dean of Academic Affairs and Administration he breathed life into the proposed plan for growth and expan- sion. He positioned pieces, managed funds and budgets, and created innova- tive series that have greatly impacted and
