also served as the Chair for the An- nual Hamilton County Minority Health Fair (MHF) and was the founder and first chair for the Annual Boys Leader- ship Summit. In 2015, Ramsey led the Southeast Tennessee Health Consorti- um (SETHC) Foundation as its presi- dent. Chris was involved in various local programs that focused on scholarships, mentoring youth, and improving health- care access. He was most proud of being a Big Brother to his smalls, Stephen Smith and Marcus Ramsey, in which they had over a 30 years relationship. Ramsey was also an active member at New Covenant Fellowship Church, where he joined in 2004. He served as a deacon and in 2014 was ordained as an elder. He served as the leader of the Altar, Health & Wellness, and Welcome Ministries. Brother Christopher L. Ramsey was preceded in death by his father, grandfa- ther, Fredrick Puckett, and grandmother, Christine Puckett. Chris will be forever remembered by his wife, silhouette, and best friend of 27 years, Lucrecia Rochelle (née Evans) Ramsey; daugh- ter, Bria MaShaun; and sons, Christo- pher Jr., and Evan Walter Ramsey; his mother, sisters, Reginia (Isaac) Hamil- ton, Rhomonda Fifer; brothers, Fredrick Ramsey and Mark (Traci) Ramsey; father-in-law, Walter W. Evans, mother- in-law, Elizabeth Evans and a host of relatives, close friends and colleagues.

He has touched so many lives yet mentored so many people, and I'm just praying that someone that he has touched, impacted will take up the torch, take up the mantle that Chris has left us all." Brother Christopher L. Ramsey, Sr. entered the Chapter Invisible on January 16, 2021, nine days shy of his 55 th birthday. Pastor Jordan worked with Ramsey during the summer of 2020, assisting the Chattanooga com- munity with protecting itself from the contagious deadly virus's effects. "It was devastating to know that one (Ramsey) of the guys that were lead- ing the charge to test our community had been infected by the virus. Jordan furthermore believed "Ramsey would've been on the forefront educating the community on the vaccines. This pass- ing of this legendary man is impacting our entire community, and that is across racial lines, denominational lines, and political lines. Chris Ramsey was a giant in this community." Christopher (Chris) Lamont Ramsey, Sr. was born on January 25, 1966, in Chattanooga, TN, to Alvin Lee and Charmayne (née Puckett) Ramsey. He graduated in 1984 from Chattanooga's Brainerd High School. He earned a B.A. in business administration from Austin Peay State University in 1988. While in college, Ramsey joined the Fraternity as a 1986 initiate of the

BlueShield of Tennessee in various leadership roles, including Director of Policy and Regulation. He also served as the President and CEO of Tech Town Foundation, a local non-profit dedicated to inspiring imagination, innovation, and collaboration through technology in children ages 7-17. Ramsey started his insurance agency, Chris Ramsey Agency (CRA). He also served as the Yesmar Strategy and Consulting firm's Chief Strategy Officer, where he consulted with several local companies. Along with his business partner, LaQuentin Jenkins, he started Simple Choice, a Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) supply company, dur- ing the COVID-19 pandemic when the Chattanooga community experienced a shortage of PPE supplies. He worked tirelessly to help with the COVID screenings and education throughout the Chattanooga community with sev- eral organizations that followed his pas- sion of "community service and advocat- ing for the underserved community." He lived by the motto, "Service is the price we pay for the space we occupy." A Life Member of the Fraternity and a member of the Chattanooga (TN) Alumni Chapter, Ramsey also served on the Board of Directors for Boys and Girls Club in Chattanooga, where he served as board chairman in 2000 and UC Foundation Board of Directors. He
