served as Chairman of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science before returning to his first love: teaching students. In 2015, FVSU bestowed the title of Professor Emeritus of Mathematics and Computer Science to Dubriel. In addition to his devotion to education, Dubiwas a servant to his community. He volunteered countless hours to better the city of Fort Valley, Georgia. His most notable contributions were: performing survey research for the Chamber of Commerce, helping to improve hospital infrastructure, participating in the Peach County School System to ensure all students received a quality education, and volunteering to mentor the youth. Dubriel was an active member of the Leadership Georgia Association, the Fort Valley Kiwanis Club, Peach County Water and Sewer Authority, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, and St. Juliana Catholic Church in Fort Valley. Brother John B. Dubriel is preceded in death by his sister, Gustavia; his brothers, Earl, Ray, Lisso, Willie, Charles, Augustus, Larry, and Rue. He is survived by his loving wife, Victoria (née Vinnett) Dubriel; brother, Roy (Yvonne); sisters-in-law, Josephine Dubriel, Lillian Dubriel Laura Triggs; and brother-in-law Lawrence Vinnett. He leaves to cherish and honor his memory daughters, Stephanie (Rod Sanford), Laurie (Clinton McGrath), and Joni (Lehman Harris); grandsons, Hudson and Hunter; godchildren; and many nieces and nephews. By order of FVSU President Jones, the university flags were flown at half-staff commencing Monday, May 17 to sunset on Wednesday, May 19 in honor and loving memory of faculty emeritus Dr. John B. Dubriel.

Also, at Wilberforce, Easton joined the Fraternity as a 2020 initiate of the Wilberforce (OH) University Chapter, the Delta of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. At the time of his untimely passing, Easton was scheduled to receive his bachelor's degree in 2021. Brother William J. Easton was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mattie J. Duke of South Bend, IN, Ella Veese Pugh, and Herman Fowler. He is survived by parents James and Vonchrusha Easton; grandparents: Joe "Papa Joe "Duke, and Dr. James H. Easton, Sr. (Alnetta); brother: Jason Shields; two sisters: Shante Easton, Nakele Lundy (Caleb); and a host of relatives, close friends, schoolmates, teammates, and Delta Chapter brothers. "William was the epitome of what you would want for any young man," Wilberforce University Athletics Director Derek Williams said. "This is a huge loss for the

university and his home community." William J. Easton entered the Chapter Invisible on April 9, 2021, at 20, due to a car accident. A Jacksonville, FL native, William Jacob Easton was born on April 10, 1999, at Memorial Hospital James and Vonchrusha Easton. Easton played basketball at a young age. He joined the LBF Stars, a youth and AAU program leading his team to multiple championship titles. He led his team to win a state championship as a U12 and a national championship as a U13. Easton was educated in the Duval County (FL) Public School System. He attended St. Stephen Child Care and Learning Center and then completed his early education at R.L. Brown Elementary School from kindergarten to fifth grade. He attended Julia Landon College Preparatory. Easton was a scholar-athlete as he played football, basketball, and track. He graduated from Jacksonville, FL's Jean Ribault High School, where he continued his excellence as a student-athlete. He was a National Honor Society and BETA Club member and crowned by his schoolmates as Prom Prince. Despite a height of 5'4", Easton excelled on the basketball court as a talented point guard and track and field as an All Gateway Conference high jumper. Easton attended Morris College in Sumter, SC, where he majored in sports medicine, ran on the cross- country team, and made the Dean's List. As a father, husband, leader, friend, and Soldier, Carl can never be replaced. His legacy as a positive and caring man will remain with the Oklahoma National Guard for many years to come."
