These attributes made our son excel as a student. Wade took Advanced Place- ment honors classes, was a member of the HISTA Program and the National Honor Society. He was a member of the American National Honor Society. He was active in student politics and was selected to be the Mayor of Bluefield for the day while participating in the city's Shadowing City Officials, Student Government Day. Not only did he excel academically, but he was also a student- athlete playing both football and basket- ball for Beaver Nation. Wade graduated from Bluefield High School in 2002. Wade attended Bluefield State Col- lege, where he excelled academically as a college student. The College named him to the Dean's List student. He graduated from Bluefield State Col- lege with honors with a B.S. in criminal justice in 2006. Wade was deeply committed to education and counseling, and he pursued a career as a treatment coun- selor at Sam Perdue Juvenile Center in Princeton, WV. At the time of his death, he was on the staff at Pressley Ridge School in Tazewell, VA as a treatment counselor. An administrator at Pressley Ridge School stated that "the staff and students at Pressley Ridge are devas- tated by the loss of Brandon." Wade also enjoyed tutoring academic subjects and preparatory advising to students seeking to earn their High School Equivalency Diplomas (GED). Brother Brandon A. Wade is survived his Alphonso Wade and Sandra (nee Larry) Wade; brother Dustin Wade; son, Kamari Irby; fiancé Jennifer Turner; and a host of relatives and friends.

Allen (SC) University on a baseball scholarship to Allen (SC) University. In 1961 and graduated with a B.S. degree in mathematics. In 1965, Teal earned an M.A. degree from Indiana University. Teal was a mathematics teacher for 38 years in the Lee County Public School System, starting at Dunbar High School. He subsequently transferred to Fort Myers Middle School. During his years at Fort Myers Middle School, Teal earned numerous awards. In 1986, he led his math team to first place in the Florida Engineering Math count com- petition. The school district awarded Teal with the Lee County Outstand- ing Middle School Teacher of the Year and Fort Myers Middle School Teacher of the Year in 1988. In 1995, he was awarded the coveted and prestigious Golden Apple Teacher Award. He also spent over 25 years helping adults earn their GED during night school at Dunbar High School. Brother Teal was a skilled educator. He often encouraged and praised his students with quick- witted sayings, such as "You are cooking with Crisco!" or ''Welcome to Math- land!" After retiring from teaching, he remained active in the community. Teal served as a board member of the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers for more than 17 years. During his time of service, Teal oversaw the transformation of several local housing developments. In honor of his service and dedication to cultural growth in his community, in 2014, the Fort Myers Housing Authority named the clubhouse of the East Point Place development after him. On January 19, 2020, on behalf of the mayor of Fort Myers' City, Councilman Johnny Streets presented a proclamation declaring January 19th as "Lemuel Arius Teal, Sr. Day." A Life Member, Teal was also a charter member of the Fort Myers (FL) Alumni, where he served as polemarch. In 2019, the chapter awarded Teal with its Kappa Alpha Psi Fort Myers Alumni Chapter Charter Member Award,

recognizing his long-standing member- ship, hard work, and dedication to the Fraternity. Teal was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church for over 50 years. While at Friendship Bap- tist Church, he was a Sunday School Teacher, served on the Deacon Board, and was a member of the Men's Choir and the Brotherhood program. Brother Lemuel A. Teal, Sr. was pre- ceded in death by his parents; siblings: Daryl Teal, Johnny Teal, Gussie Mae White (Nathaniel), Margaret Kinchen (Ben), Jessie Teal West (Arthur), neph- ews, nieces, and other family members and dear friends. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susie (née Smith) Teal; daughter, Dr. Tiffany Teal; son, Lemuel Teal, Jr. sister, Geneva Bradley (Willie); and a host of close friends, relatives, former students and colleagues, the Dunbar Class of 1957, and the men of the Fort Myers (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi. caregiver.

Brandon Alphonso Wade was born on July 1, 1984, in Bluefield, WV. He matriculated his elementary school years in McDowell County Schools and his middle and high school years through Mercer County Schools. Even as a young child, he was an avid reader and had a relentless quest for knowledge.
