ELDER WATSON DIGGS AWARDEES
“I am incredibly honored yet humbled to come before you during this 85 th Grand Chapter Meeting to accept this award as your 114 th Elder Watson Diggs Awardee. I am delighted to share this moment with the other four recipients. Congratulations to each of you brothers! For we all have different gifts to give, and this recognition is an affirmation that our contributions that were appreciated are now being rewarded. So thank you Kappa Alpha Psi for bestowing upon me this distinction to stand with some of Kappa's greatest contributors.”
W illiam (Bill) Fields, II, is a 1984 graduate of Kent State University, with a B.A. in Advertising. Brother Fields has over 25 years of industrial sales experience, most recently having worked for W.W. Grainger as the Northeast Ohio Re- gional Healthcare Manager. Currently he and his family are owners of Uzuri Enterprise LLC. Their company specializes in promotional branding products, embroidery, and screen printing. Additionally, Uzuri is a licensed vendor for most of the NPHC fraternities and sororities, including Kappa Alpha Psi since 2010. Brother Fields is Spring 1980 initiate of the Gamma Tau Chapter at Kent State University and a current member of the Columbus (OH) Alumni Chapter. He has over 25 years of dedi- cated service as an officer to Kappa Alpha Psi, having had the honor to serve the fraternity on all three levels. Brother Fields is the only Brother to serve as Junior Province Vice Polemarch,
Senior Province Vice Polemarch and Province Polemarch of the East Central Province. For Grand Chapter, he has served as Director of Project Development 2009-11, Chairman, U.S. Census 2009-11, Chairman, American Cancer Society 2009-11, Chairman, Nationwide Insurance 2009-11, and Curator, Centennial Historical Collection 2010-11. During the 80 th Grand Chapter Meeting in Indianapolis, he played a pivotal role during the Conclave, serving as Curator for the Centennial Historical Collection Museum. Brother Fields has been married for 25, to the former Adria Perkins, a Pros- ecuting Attorney for Franklin County. Together they have two sons: William III, a freshman at the University of Dayton and Tyler, a junior at Bishop Hartley High School in Columbus. He loves traveling with his family, golfing, grilling by the pool and watching his sons' soccer games.
