We salute ELDER WATSON DIGGS AWARDEE WARREN D. MILLER!
“I am humbled, forever grateful and truly blessed for the consideration to receive the coveted Elder Watson Diggs Award. How likely would it be for a little Black boy in the 1960s, nurtured by a single mother, raising two boys, growing up in the Jim Crow South, in the housing projects of Mississippi to ascend to achieve anything, other than by the grace of God? As I reflect upon this unique and amazing story, from the projects to the Capitol, I have truly been blessed and travel on an amazing journey...I must express my gratitude to the past Grand Polemarchs who saw something special in me and allowed the opportunity for me to serve under five different administrations.”
