Brother Galloway stated, "The book is unique because it ties the Story of Morehouse College, Kappa Alpha Psi and Pi Chapter together in a historic timeline. The also lists the Pi Chapter's Lineage in great detail, starting from the Charter Line in 1921 forward." Gallo- way adds, "The reaction by Pi brothers has been overwhelmingly positive and gratitude for creating the book to tell their story. To say they are extremely proud is an understatement." Past Morehouse College President Dr. John S. Wilson (Pi 1976) commenting on the book. "The Pi History Book is a great addition to my library! The words and images in the book will continue to have the power to unlock and refresh some great memories of my student days on the campus of Morehouse College. It is obvious that the authors invested a lot of time and energy into it, so I join others in commending Brothers Gallo- way and Williams!" Lonnie Washington, Jr. (Pi 2016) on the book, "I really enjoyed the book. It was a detailed and precise account of the chapter's honored history and legacy. There was history in the book that no one had heard of. I was reading the book and thinking, 'how did they even find some of this stuff.'" B rother Aaron Williams (Zeta Upsilon 1986), a member of the Chicago (IL) Alumni Chap- ter, and Roosevelt Galloway III (Pi 1984), a member of the Jacksonville (FL) Alumni Chapter, co-authored a new commemorative history book. Entitled The Pi of Kappa Alpha Psi Fra- ternity, Inc.: A Morehouse Story at 100 Years, this commemorative book honors the 100 th anniversary of the chartering of the Morehouse College Chapter, the Pi of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., the first Greek-letter collegiate fraternity established on the Morehouse College campus. Committee members, John A. Calhoun (Pi 1988), a member of the Alexandria-Fairfax (VA) Alumni Chap- ter, Anthony Laurent (Pi 1988), Wilton DeVonn Baker (Pi 1991), a member of the Boston (MA) Alumni Chapter, Raymond Lambert (Pi 1981), and Verlin E. Campbell (Pi 2001) provided critical support, conceptualizing the book's cover and title, and the direction for the book. This 146-page hardback color book chronicles the Pi's origin and activities, the chapter's development and evolu- tion, and chapter key events. The book provides vignettes of the chap- ter's celebrated members from Grand Chapter Awardees, past Grand Chapter Officers, Tuskegee Airmen, past More- house College presidents and awardees, distinguished professionals, and a listing of its 45 Phi Beta Kappa inductees. The book documents chapter history balanced with Morehouse College and Kappa Alpha Psi's respective histories and highlights the numerous academic, civic, professional, and fraternal achieve- ments of Pi initiates.
Furthermore, the book illustrates how Morehouse College has benefitted from the continued support and leadership from Pi initiates. Pi's contributions range from faculty members instructing and mentoring generations of More- house Men in and out of the classroom
