Brothers Dr. Anthony Jenkins serves as the President of Coppin State University and Dr. Darryl L. Williams is the Su- perintendent of the Baltimore County, Maryland Public Schools and are both members of Baltimore Alumni Chapter. Charles Tildon, Jr. was President of Baltimore City Community College. Dr. Martin Jenkins was President of Morgan State College. There are Brothers who have served in higher education on the campus of Mor- gan State to include Floyd Taliaferro, III employed for 50 years in several ca- pacities such as the Director of Student affairs, Director of the Student Center, Assistant Director of the Student Cen- ter, and responsible for all Homecom- ing and Graduation events for decades. Several Professors were tenured such as I.W.E. Taylor, William Proctor, Michael James, Stanley Mitchell, and Steward Brooks in administration. Dr. Ernest Hammond was a professor of Physics
and was involved in the development of the Hubble Space Telescope.
Samuel T. Daniels was the Grand Mas- ter Emeritus of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Maryland and was a fierce civil rights advocate. He was memorialized with a wax figure in the famed Great Blacks in Wax Mu- seum. Several brothers are or have been en- trepreneurs and business leaders. Elder Watson Diggs Awardee George F. David, III was part owner of Parks Sausage Company. Brother Allen Bennett Phar- mD (Gamma Xi 1966) is the CEO of Park West Medical Center. Brandon Wy- lie (Alpha Ioota 2001) is CEO of Wylie Funeral Homes. Within the field of sales and marketing, Brothers Vanzano Easton (Alpha Iota 1964) and Herbert Jenkins (Beta Epsilon 1976) were barrier break- ers, among the African American firsts at IBM and Xerox, respectively. Brothers Kevin Clark (Pittsburgh (PA) AL 1986), Godfrey Durham (Lambda Iota 1988) and Anthony Clark (Alpha Iota 1988) are nationally recognized sales leaders specializing in information technology and medical equipment. Dr. Nathan Fletcher was the 84 th President of the National Dental Association, the premier organization of African American dentists nationally. Sidney Burnett, D.D.S. was elected as the first and only African American President of the Maryland State Dental Association that is affiliated with the American Dental Association. Many Brothers are serving the commu- nity as religious leaders. Bishop Dwayne Debnam is Senior Pastor at Morningstar Baptist Church that was second nation- ally in raising funds for St. Jude’s Chil- dren’s Hospital. Others in the clergy include Kevin Slayton, and Scott Adams. Several others are Deacons or Elders at their respective churches.
