SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Community Connections

By the very nature of our work, we’re part of the system of support for those most in need in BC and we continue our community support through our employee-created Community Connections program . Through the program, staff can donate to their favourite charities through lump-sum donations, payroll deductions or even by donating vacation days or, for eligible employees, flex days. Donations are matched each year up to $100 per employee!

Staff can also participate by volunteer­ ing their time or through fundraising activities. Every full-time employee is provided with three paid days each calendar year to volunteer with a charity of their choice. These can be organized through BC Housing’s Community Connections program or self-organized with a charity in their local community. For short-term staff, this is prorated to 1 day for every 4 months of work.
