faith. “Without faith it is impossible to please him” (Heb. 11:6). It has been said, “If you trust, you do not worry; and if you worry, you do not trust.” How true! Worry and faith cannot live in the same heart at the same time. And the Word of God is filled with as surances for the Lord’s people. In Romans 15 :4, we read: “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” And as we think of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Elisha, and Daniel, our hearts rejoice to see how God through the years has cared for His children. If He has cared for all those, can He not still care for His own today? Jesus said: “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Where fore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” Leader’s Helps 1.
